False Claims In Pre-Owned Car Ads....Not At Pumpkin!
At Pumpkin Cars, not only do we stay on top of current market trends, but we also pay attention to issues in the news that may affect our great customers. We are constantly researching industry reports and trade magazines in order to better serve you. One story in particular that we found very interesting and very relevant is "Don't fear getting dirty, how to buy a used car" posted on CNBC.com. This article basically describes the author's experiences while trying to buy a pre owned car for his daughter. It explains how much research and running around had been done in order to make sure that the cars advertised on certain websites were in the same condition in person as they were described in the ad. It is no great secret that in the past, the "used car" industry has been cast as a dishonest, slimy business. We cannot speak for all dealers and private sellers, obviously, but here at Pumpkin Fine Cars and Exotics we go to great lengths to ensure that each vehicle we have in inventory is in top-notch condition. We have nothing to hide!! The author of the previously mentioned article looked at numerous cars, mostly from private sellers and the resounding similarities were that very few of the cars were in the same condition as they were advertised. The author even describes getting on the ground and actually sliding under one of the vehicles to check it out. Why should that be necessary when searching for a pre-owned car??
