Pumpkin Recognizes Child Passenger Safety Week

We here at Pumpkin Fine Cars always encourage vehicle safety and safe driving.  As a matter of fact with all his experience in both race car driving as well as driving on regular roads with regular drivers, Franck Freon is most concerned about safety.  The amount of risk involved in race car driving between the equipment and the high speeds that the cars are driven at requires not only the most skilled, but also the most safe teams and drivers.  One small oversight or calculation could mean a crash or even worse, an injury to a driver or crew member.  Franck has learned over the years that the same preparation and safety is required for every car and by every driver.  Unfortunately this is not always the case.  Because not all drivers can be trusted to put your safety and the safety of others first, we must all take responsibility to drive safely and make sure that our cars are in safe condition.  The most important aspect of our Pumpkin Certified Program is to make sure that any and all safety aspects of the cars are functioning and in proper working order.  We do not and will not ever compromise the safety of our Pumpkin Cars and our customers for the sake of a sale.  All of the cars are given a thorough check up by an ASE certified mechanic and if there is something that is even questionable it is repaired or replaced.

Next week is Child Passenger Safety week sponsored by AAA.  “Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children,” said AAA Vice President of Public Affairs Kathleen Marvaso. In researching some statistics we found that more than 1,400 children die and over 175,000 are injured each year in car crashes. While more parents are buckling up their children today than they were five years ago, research indicates that three out of four car seats are not properly installed. It is a well proven fact at this point that seat belts and properly installed child car seats do save lives, it's a shame that there has to be a week dedicated to it to get parents properly informed about doing so.  Children are by far your most important and valuable "cargo", so why take short cuts and not have them properly secured and safe?  From all of us here at Pumpkin Fine Cars and Exotics we implore all of our friends and customers to not take any chances and please make sure your children or any children riding in your car are properly buckled up and their car seats secured and installed properly.  For more on Child Passenger Safety Week, please visit http://www.aaa.com/.
